Single Tooth Implant - A Simple Solution
A single dental implant is a long-term solution for replacing one missing tooth or a tooth that needs to be removed.
If you're missing just one tooth, a single implant can usually be used to support a natural-looking replacement tooth, restoring both the appearance and function of your smile.
One of the key benefits is that the healthy teeth next to the missing tooth do not need to be altered or filed down, helping to preserve your natural teeth while restoring your smile.

With implant-retained dentures, your denture can be held securely in place with as few as two dental implants.
Instead of relying on denture adhesive, the denture attaches securely to implants placed in your jaw, helping to improve stability and confidence when eating, smiling and speaking. And because the denture can be removed, you can easily take it out for cleaning and maintain good oral hygiene.
A Few Missing Teeth
Implant-Supported Bridges
If you have several missing teeth next to each other, an implant-supported bridge may be a suitable solution.
Two or more dental implants can be used to support a bridge, allowing several replacement teeth to be secured in place.
For example, two dental implants can support a bridge containing three replacement teeth. The number of implants needed will depend on how many teeth are missing, their position and your individual needs. Your clinician will assess your smile and discuss the most suitable treatment options with you.
Same Day Implants
Fixed teeth, fitted the same day as your implants
You may have heard of All-on-4 or Same Day Implants. If you have loose dentures or failing teeth, this treatment can give you a fixed set of teeth on the same day your implants are placed.
Four to six dental implants are placed at strategic positions and angles in your jaw to support a fixed set of temporary teeth, fitted the same day. Your permanent teeth are fitted once the implants have healed. Your dentist will confirm at your consultation whether same-day teeth are suitable for you.
Every case is different. Final costs are confirmed in writing after your consultation, once the dentist has seen your scan.

Three steps from consultation to new tooth

Free consultation and written plan
Discuss your goals and get an examination. If your dentist decides an OPG scan is needed, it's included at no extra cost. You get a written plan with costs and timescales.
- 02
Implant placed here
Placed under local anaesthetic, with sedation if you prefer. You go home the same day.
- 03
Healing, then your new tooth
The implant fuses with the bone. Then your crown, bridge or denture is fitted and adjusted for your bite.
Timescales vary by case. Your dentist will give you a realistic timeline at your consultation.

Nervous? Three ways to make it easier
IV sedation
You stay conscious and able to respond, but deeply relaxed. Most patients remember very little of the appointment. Suitability is assessed by the dentist beforehand.
The Wand
Delivers anaesthetic slowly and steadily rather than in one push. Most patients find it much more comfortable than a traditional syringe.
Inhalation sedation
Laughing gas. Takes the edge off, wears off quickly, and you can usually drive yourself home afterwards.

Implant maintenance plan
We advise a yearly review following completion of treatment, plus regular hygiene. Our maintenance plan is £11.50 per month and includes one implant review with an X-ray and one hygiene visit per year.
